Ukraine, Russia reach agreement on exchange of 100 imprisoned soldiers

More than 100 Ukrainian soldiers have returned to their homes, under a exchange of war prisoners with Russia. Ukrainian Presidency Adviser Andriy Yermak announced the news in a Twitter post that writes that “116 Ukrainians have been released. Keep working. We're going to turn all”. [...]

The freed were defenders of Marioupolis, Kherson Partisan, Bahhmut shooters and other heroes; 87 are soldiers of Ukraine's Armed Forces, two of them officers, eight soldiers of the Territorial Defence Forces, seven of the National Guard, six from the National Police, five from the Border Guard, two from Marina and a representative from the State Emergency Service.
While Russian defence officials said 63 Russian soldiers returned from Ukraine, in a statement issued by the Russian Defence Ministry on Saturday, no additional details have been provided to those considered a special “categor of war inmates.
The announcement of this exchange has been made as regional officials in Ukraine have reported that the previous night there were Russian bombings from the Sumoj region and near the town of Mahanets, near the Zaporizhja nuclear power plant. Kiev has accused Moscow of using this plant as a basis for launching attacks around the Dnjeper River in Ukraine.
