Blinken's full optimism for the future of US-Serbia relations goes beyond. As someone who regularly speaks to Secretary Blinken and is familiar with his thinking, Ned Price told “Pravovic Today” what lies behind Blinken's optimism about US-Serbia relations.

Secretary Blinken said the US “praises the strategic partnership we enjoy with Serbia”. Asked by “The Pavlovic Today” to speak in more detail about Blinken's view of “strategic partnership” between the two countries, Price said Secretary Blinken considers the US's relationship with Serbia a strategic “ ” due to its nature “with many plans”.
“E has a long relationship with Serbia”, Price said. “We have been with Serbia over the decades, standing at its side as partner in the face of various challenges”, Price said, referring to a wide range of issues from security to politics, the economy and links the American people share with Serbs.
“As you know, the secretary is personally invested in many of these issues in the region. Tensions between Kosovo and Serbia are something that has his full attention”.
On February 1st, Blinken spoke on the phone with Serbian President Vuciq. According to Price, the US secretary thanked the head of the Serbian state “for the constructive engagement we had seen by the president and his team within the EU dialogue to find a way out of these tension”.
Commenting on UN Secretary Blinken's predictions that great rewards await the Serbian people and an entire region, after Serbian President Vuciq and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti make the <x0-compromising difficult”, Price explained what rewards Blinken has in mind.
Secretary Blinken, according to Price, along with Gabriel Escobar, Deputy Assistant Secretary who oversees US policy over the Western Balkans, “has repeatedly underlined the possibilities that could come up with a solution to some of these very complex and thorny issues”.
There are “option”, according to Price, that people of Serbia and Kosovo “leave the wider Western Balkans region, slightly more stable, slightly safer, building in some cases, literally, roads and bridge” between communities in the region.
This is exactly what we're trying to do in this case”, Price said. “It's what we're trying to do, really, with our diplomacy across the regions to promote more interconnection and through the interconnection of this, building understanding, building partnership and building security, stability and prosperity”.
