The steady increase in prices for basic products has caused Kosovo citizens to spend less on holiday end-of-year.

Although 18 percent of the population is in full poverty and 5 percent of them at the extreme, Kosovars prove to be quite concerned at parties, especially the end of the year, spending about 30m euros.

According to the “report The spending of Kosovo families for end-of-year holidays, 2022”, implemented by UBO Consulting, each family in Kosovo spends an average of around 150 euros on these holidays.

“Messantly, Kosovo families have declared spending 146 euros on weekend holidays 2022, compared to 156 euros in 2021 and 139 euros in 2020”, the report follows.

In the question of why this holiday is not celebrated, 83 percent of citizens have responded that it does not match their beliefs.
