Official: Giovanni Malago is elected president of the Italian Football Federation

Giovanni Malago has been elected president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), defeating candidate Giancarlo Abete in the race for running this institution.
Malachi, who served as president of CON from 2013 to 2025, has also been chairman of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Organising Committee.
His mandate at the helm of FIGC will last two years, as he will complete the rest of the mandate left by Gabriele Grava, who had resigned after re-election in 2025.
