Haliti says Kurti must resist Zajednica: We know what Vuchy and I talked to inside the walls.

The third consecutive meeting was held yesterday between Albin Kurti and Aleksandar Vuciq in Brussels, with results -- without agreement. As the chairman of the talks, Joseph Borrell expressed a bit pessimistic that despite the efforts, there was some progress even yesterday, the Kosovo and Serbian parties decided not to speak at all. They haven't spoken yet. Xavi [...]

The calls of the EU, America, and the states of the QUINTH, nor did their pressure work since yesterday's marathon meeting come up, even in part. Shortly before the talks, even the German Chancellor and French president had called Kurt and Vuchy.

MP Xhavit Haliti for Periscope said he knew yet without going to have a deal.

Still before they go, I've declared that they're both going to fail to reach any agreement. However, we do not know what happened, what it is or what is talked about within the walls. What are the reasons why there is no agreement but I am a follower of what this conversation is about and a common agreement is achieved, to overcome the problems that are between our two countries and find solutions to accept each other and move forward towards EU integration? Haliti said.

He also thinks the resistance in the talks should be on issues whose red lines the Constitution has determined. So it's about Association.

I don't know why Kurt didn't come up with any statements yet, but the very fact that he was allowed to meet again and talk is welcomed by the opinion and the mediators themselves. You go to the talks to find out. Kosovo's interest and maximum interest are irreplaceable, but those belonging to agreements that should not be violated on red lines that the Constitutional Court has defined must be fully resisted, Haliti added further.

European Union High Representative Josep Borrell has said no agreement has been reached between Kosovo and Serbia on the issue of license plates and documents, but according to him, the parties have agreed to continue discussions. Borrell has said this is not the outcome, since there is still until September 1st, adding that the European Union does not surrender in this process.

“Current issues are the most important on the agenda, we have witnessed these tensions with the registration boards and access documents for citizens between Kosovo and Serbia, the international community does not want to see a revival of tensions in the following period, and the parties will have full responsibility for any kind of escalation on the ground. Unfortunately, we haven't arrived at the meeting today, but this is not the end of this story, both leaders have agreed that the process should continue and that discussions will resume in the coming days, so there is still time until September 1st. I will not give up. There is no agreement today but we will not stop, we will not give up, we must continue the discussion, and continue the discussion, this discussion will continue, at the conclusion of the meeting I became clear to the two leaders that membership in the European Union should remain the final goal the two leaders have pledged, and yet have to find a way to advance further on this road and the first step on this road is to seek solutions to the current <x1 situation, Borrell said.

Borrell has said it is not the time for increasing tensions but to seek long-term solutions to problems.

“I believe President Vuciq and Prime Minister Kurti both have understood that there is no alternative to dialogue in understanding the solution of this problem, of course there are well-known differences between them in their view of what the final status of relations between Kosovo and Serbia should be or how they should be, but have agreed to continue discussions on a regular basis in the following period to accelerate the normalisation process, so to quickly get to this road and that I will have it at the top of my agenda, along with the special representative of the European Union, Miroslav <cak>, he said./ P ERISCOPI/
