The Regional Police Directorate in Pec, dated 03.07.22 around 08:40, has been informed of a fire case on the “Emperor Justinian” in Pec, where this fire was involved in an annex.
Immediately, police units at the Police Station and Regional Police Directorate in Pec have reacted at the scene, and assessing that fire can be opened at other residential facilities have also announced the fire brigade, which has appeared very quickly in the scene.
Even in spite of the rapid intervention of police and firemen from Peja and towns around, as well as KFOR, significant damage has been caused by this fire, because besides the motor oil depot, three residences have been damaged, as they were very close to each other.
However, after much and very professional work of these units, the fire has been brought under control after a while. While further police units are working at the scene under co-ordination with the State Attorney, in order to collect evidence to proceed and investigate how it has come to this fire.
This case by order of the State Attorney has been initiated as “Cause of general risk”, and is being processed by the regional unit for the crime investigation.
