At a 30-minute conference, Prime Minister Albin Kurti spoke for Today's government decisions the most important, bill announcement concerning high prices in the country and answered a series of journalists ' questions.
Among the most interesting, but not important, was the prime minister's response to Greece's several-day visit to Symi.
The journalist asked the prime minister, that since he's been there for several days, he may tell us that, at least, soon we can have a recognition from Greece, and went on to specify the question further, that at least, can we say that the agreement with Serbia is no longer a condition for recognition of Kosovo by Greece.
Interesting enough, it was Kurt's answer. He said he has met business in Greece more. But even more interesting than the meetings, it was the prime minister's argument, why he has not announced the public opinion about these meetings.
Read full, the entire declaration transliterated by Periscope, by Prime Minister Kurti, for meetings with 30 businessmen in Greece:
“I stayed in Greece at two successive conferences in the same country, as last year.
In addition to meetings I have had with state officials, with various politicians, numerous diplomats, I have also met close to 30 different businessmen on the investment issue in Kosovo, which are a great need for the economy in our country.
These businessmen were not all Greeks, they were European and American businessmen who are already in Greece.
The greatest efforts I make to the republic are in the field of foreign investment.
So the more I present Kosovo as an attractive investment country.
But these meetings, most of them, I don't. Neither in tupan nor in vuvuzela, Because it is harmful.
The moment some of these meetings were published that they were done with the company, which will help us in the field of infrastructure, energy, or in the field of production, however, not easily, from many of Kosovo's enemies, they would be contacted, and then blacken Kosovo's image, because they have great opportunities for it and the will of the system has never been missed and thus put the next investor in progress.
Foreign investors, you know, characterize asymmetric information.
The one who wants to invest in Kosovo never gets the information that Kosovo has for itself.
So we have to be very careful to avoid any negative propaganda for our country in them.
Since they know they do not know about our country as we do, they can therefore easily be invited and easily hesitate, hesitate, have a second or third opinion and hesitate to invest.
I can say more, than for political meetings, the investment issue I used at this meeting in Greece”, Kurti said, I follow Periscope.
WHAT else Kurt said at the conference: 2 important news
Kurti warns that government will not pay for the north in coming winter
Serbia is not responding positively to implementation of the agreement either the last electricity guide in the north, which was reached in Brussels by Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi and Serbia's Petar Petkoviqi. So, February, according to the guide company Electricever was envisioned, until now, to send ZRE, the list of electricity consumers in the north. For this, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at a news conference today after the government's meeting, said the government would no longer endorse the current in the north in the coming winter.
The “cannot be expected for the government to subsidise consumed energy in the north and unpaid there in the coming winter. At the price in December and January of last year, everyone finds it clear that there can be no repetition. Brussels has noted that Serbia's destructive approach is the guilty factor for failing to implement the guide as the agreement envisioned.
ZRE had two weeks to do the license, they did it in two days. They had two weeks to bring the consumer register, they didn't. We expect Brussels' reaction.
Clearly Belgrade is on the opposite side of our behaviour, creative, constructive, positive, active behavior.
There has been a meeting between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels this week between me and the president of Serbia, but again it is those who have postponed it.
They are pushing the handover of consumer lists in the north, they are delaying meetings in Brussels, so there are those who do not respond to positive developments in Brussels in proportion to us”, Kurti said.
I am unaware of the preparations for ZRE's demands on the part of economic operators. They go to ZRE, we believe that from there we should have a state and professional response”, Kurti said at the press conference/Periscope
