Training four Kurti cabinet officials at “Harvard” cost the state budget over 12,000 euros

Under this decision, 12 political officials/wishers were sent for training in the online executive programme 3 weeks of education (September 21st) Harvard University's October 12th 2021: “policy design leadership: Multisector access to economic locations”.

The Shuma paid by the Prime Minister's Office per person was $3800 US dollars, while the total amount for four persons was $15,200.00, or converted to euros 12,851,00”, said in the ZKM's response to “JusticeBetim”.

While, concerning the other 8 officials and advisors, from the prime minister's office have told “Justice Trust” that the ministries have already made payments from their own budget apart, but that they have not given any amount of expenses to these officials/ advisers.

Regarding the legal basis for sending these officials/challiers to the Harvard University training, the ZKM has replied that this decision has been made at the recommendation of Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi and with the approval of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, as well as in accordance with other administrative procedures laid out with the Law for Public Finance Management and Law in effect.

While, in terms of the election criteria of these officials/wishers, by ZKM, it has been declared that prime minister's cabinets, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi and some ministries have been asked to propose candidates that have been involved in drafting the Government programme or who have engaged in drafting sectoral policies, strategies and plans.

As for their selection, the first deputy prime minister for his cabinet, Economy Minister for its cabinet, Industry and Trade Minister for its cabinet and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development for his cabinet have reportedly decided on the election.

In response to the ZKM, the payments to these officials/lerials were carried out by the “Mallra category and Service”, while other ministries have carried them out separately.
