The massacre in the Ukrainian town of Bucha showed the world what war means. Women and innocent children were killed or burned by Russian troops.
A terrible scene of what happened in the city has recently emerged. These film pictures show how Russian soldiers have captured a group of nine civilians.
They bend their hands over their heads, crossing an empty path. Two Russian soldiers with guns are seen threatening civilians with guns. Later all civilians according to American media have been executed.
These images may be named one of the possible war crimes evidence from Russian soldiers in Bucha. President Volodymyr Zelensky has reiterated his claim that Russia is committing genocide in Ukraine.
In one talk, he stated that there is a deliberate and criminal effort to kill as many Ukrainians as possible. Zelensky said life had become “fer” in the eastern region of Donbas, which is “completely destroyed”.
The battle for Donbas is likely to determine the fate of the Russian attack. Taking over the region would allow Moscow to open a land bridge along the southern coast of the Russian border and control the water supply to the Crimea Peninsula, which it annexed in 2014. About 40,000 of Kiev's strongest and experienced soldiers are located there, and a loss of them would be a blow to Ukraine.
