Court sentences Klokot municipality official 5 thousand euros

The accused in January 2018, “in the village of Pozoran, the Year's municipality, as an official person, an adviser to Klokot Mayor, exploiting his official position with the aim of anti-legal profit for himself and the Kllokot municipality and causing damage to economic operator “NTP Blinen” has exceeded its official competencies, so that it goes to the operator in question and requires inventory of the Klokot municipality object and with the same goes to verbal agreement and promises that legal procedures will be implemented later and payment will be made from the municipality, which the inventory puts in the new object of the municipality, while the municipality fails to perform the pledge after failing to observe procurement procedures and this payment is not being carried out, with this being caused by economic operator of value at 4.460%>, the court's report said.

With these actions, defendant A. E. has committed criminal work misusing official position and authority, acting sanctioned with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK).

The court, after explaining all the evidence and hearing of witnesses, found the accused guilty and sentenced him to 180 (a hundred and eighty) days in prison.

With the prosecution's proposal, the sentence pronounced in prison is replaced by fines in the amount of 5,000 (five thousand) Euro”, the court reports.

The disgruntled parties have a fair complaint against this act at the Court of Appeals.
