Efforts are under way by the Ukrainian government to provide humanitarian aid to the city, which is currently surrounded by Russian forces that continue to bomb the city, including civilians.
The city council said: “People are in a difficult situation for 12 days. There is no electricity, no water, and no heat in the city. There's almost no cell phone communication. The last food and water reserves are running out of”.
Earlier Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said a supply convoy is just two hours from the city, where 400,000 people are currently blocked.
