Meeting of Albania-North Macedonia Governments to be finalised a series of agreements

The joint meeting between the government of Albania and North Macedonia will take place today in Skopje.

At Skopje Airport, Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Albanian delegation were received by Zv. Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Artan Grubi.

While the welcoming ceremony of the prime minister and Albanian delegation was held in Skopje by Republic of Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski.

Prime Minister Rama announced that a series of intergovernmental agreements and memorandums that bring us closer to the two governments will be finalised

Official talks by Prime Minister Edi Rama and Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski will be delivered at the joint meeting of the two governments.

“The ministries already have prepared a large number of memorandums and co-operation decisions, which tomorrow will not only be reviewed but will also be signed together with ministers from Albania”, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski said the previous day.

Agreements expected to be signed in Skopje today between the two governments:

Memorandum of co-operation on the EU integration issue between the Secretariat for European Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the state minister, RSH chief negotiator.

Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Northern Macedonia Ministry of Europe and the Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania for co-operation in the field of training.

The memorandum of co-operation between the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Macedonia and the Ministry for Europe and the Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania for co-operation in the field of digitisation of consular services.

Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the Republika Albania Ministry of Defence for Defence Co-operation.

Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania for the formation of joint working teams in the security field.

The protocol between the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Albania's Interior Ministry for the implementation of joint border control at the joint point of the Qafe-Than border crossing.

The protocol between the Ministry of Finance and Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia and the Ministry of Finance and Economy, between the General Directorate of Customs of the Republic of Albania, in terms of implementation of the Agreement for mutual recognition of economic operators authorised for security and protection (OEAS), between the Republic of Albania's Council of Ministers and the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.

The implementation protocol between the Ministry of Finance and Customs and the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the General Directorate for Customs of the Republic of Albania for implementation of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania for the establishment of the joint border crossing between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Northern Macedonia, signed in Tirana in 10.06.2021 for the Qafe-Than (Repu Republic of Northern Macedonia) country, the Republic of Albania said.

Memorandum of Understanding and co-operation in the field of Public Finance and the European Union Education Process between the Republika Macedonia Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Albania.

Memorandum of co-operation in the energy sector between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of the Republic of Albania.

The memorandum of co-operation between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the State Ministry for Protection of Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Albania.
