American expert: Kosovo must not be held hostage to lack of agreement with Serbia

Alon Ben-Meir has spoken about Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and the possible achievement of an agreement between the two states.

Through a Facebook post, Ben-Meir has said that as long as Russia continues to block Kosovo's admission to the UN Security Council and as long as Moscow wants to undermine Serbia's accession to the European Union, it will be difficult to reach an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.

“Pristina should be open to co-operate with Serbia at any level as long as co-operation does not violate its independence”, it has written, among other things.

Ben-Meir has said that Kosovo should not allow itself to become hostage to the lack of a solution with Serbia, as this, according to the American expert, is exactly what Belgrade and Moscow want.
