As CN reports, the French defence and restorative team has said the cathedral's security has ended, until several more interventions remain in “the security phase”, such as the protection of cathedral sculptures, the strengthening of doors, and the removal of steep scaffolds.
We're saying that the cathedral is now saved”, said Jean-Louis Georgelin, president of the building's restoration organisation.
