Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has met with US Ambassador to Serbia Anthonyfrey, a day after the US diplomat criticised Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti for accessing dialogue.
After the meeting, Vuciq said Serbian-American relations are on the rise.
“I've had an open and friendly conversation with US Ambassador Anthonyfrey, in Belgrade's most beautiful atmosphere”, wrote Vuciq in the Instagram.
He has thanked the US for its support, as he said, for the co-operation of the countries of the region.
“Thank Americans for supporting the co-operation of countries in the region and economic integration, meaning progress, both for Serbia and for all in our environment”, Vuciq said.
Alfredy yesterday in an interview has talked about Kosovo dialogue Serbia. He said the parties cannot come to the negotiating table with demands and have no readiness to compromise, thus consisting on the four points of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, set forth in Brussels to the Serbian side.
We all agree that there should be productive dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, and that it cannot be put on the table with demand and that there be no readiness for compromise. Any agreement between Belgrade and Pristina will seek compromise on both sides and should have mutual readiness to negotiate. The US supports dialogue assisted by the European Union. We expect to move in the direction for Belgrade and Pristina to make progress on the road to the EU”, Godfrey has said of “021.rs”.
Regarding the “Balkan Open” project, the American ambassador said this initiative benefits the region.
“I am pleased that I have recently seen steps towards greater regional economic integration, to show people that co-operation in the region is for their own good, that their future is brighter”, he said.
