Albania's former prime minister, Sali Berisha, announced today at a press conference that he has filed the slander indictment against US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Berisha declared that it is the first time to address a court and it is unimaginable to file charges against a country's secretary of state for which he has a high assessment.
“Today, after 77 years of life, this is the first time I've addressed a court and I've never imagined I would file charges against the Secretary of State of America that I admire so much as the country”, the former prime minister said, Euronews Albania reported.

In May Blinken announced the involvement of Berisha and his family on the list of persons denied US entry for “corruption”.
Berisha said that after the demands Blinken made public the facts on which this decision was based, his lawyer has filed the defamation indictment. He stressed that this has been the political decision without any basis for fact.
