Kurt for election of president: We will try as much co-operation with the opposition as possible

The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has stated that following the completion of the counting and Certificate process of election results, the priority will be the quickest establishment of new legislature institutions, while stressing that co-operation with the opposition is needed for the election of the president or president.
Kurti said the election process must be completed first, before the steps for the formation of new institutions begin.
The numbering process of all votes is now closing, so let's wait these days. I don't know if there will be complaints, whether there's going to be certificates, and of course we're interested in not wasting time entering the next phase, which is the institution of the 11th legislature, the sooner the better”, he said.
Speaking of the process of electing the president or president, Kurti said that the Vetevendosje Movement cannot implement this process alone and that co-operation with opposition parties will be required.
But, of course, you know that on the matter of the president, the election of president or president, we can't do this alone, because it takes 80 people in the room in the quorum, on the basis of a Constitutional Court act, to tell you the truth there's been a lot of critical, creditive interpretations, because we know that the Constitutional Court shouldn't rewrite the Constitutional Court, nor to amend it, but it should only interpret it. And we had many examples when we had some kind of judicial activism. But we are now in this situation, and we need cooperation. We will try as much co-operation with the opposition as with the election of president or president”, he said.
Kurti said that even in the past there have been bids for co-operation on the part of Vetevendosje, but according to him they have been rejected by opposition parties.
“No past bids have been missed. Our approach is constructive, it's creative, it's active, but I hope that this time it will change the gap between our opposition and our proposals, as last time they responded to rejections, they will no longer have parts of the identity that made us call the opposition block. Because you know, we offered co-governance, they said no. So, with 15 deputies we offered four ministries and deputy prime minister, they refused... So, do you understand? To move forward needs to end the opposition's rejection behavior, while we have it in our character as a movement, since we are here, we're making 21 years this month to be, once again, creative, constructive, active”, he said.
