Russian Albanologist: There are people in Russia who are not informed about Kosovo only by official media

The life and work of Albanologist Albina Girfanova, who died in 2018, has prompted her albanologists to publish the book “Balkan Area. Altatic Studies. General Linguistics. In Memorial Albina H. Girhanova (1957)2018)”, which is promoted today under the International Seminar for Albanian Language, Culture and Literature. Promoting this book will [...]
Promoting this book will make Russian albanologist Alexander Novak, who in an interview for Kosovo Press says it feels very good that this year against pandemic with COVID-19, the seminar has managed to gather in Pristina albanologists from around the world.
Alexander Novak, who comes to Kosovo and Albania since 1990, also talks about Kosovo's image in Russia and vice versa.
Novik, is one of the 54 authors of the book, Costuat Griffinova, who believes the book will be well received by all readers.
He speaks at short points about the book, not satisfy the reader's curiosity.
“Today will promote the book dedicated to Albina H. Girfanova. Girfanova was an albanologist in Russia at San Petersburg State University. It was born in 1957, when the University of Tirana and the Albanian branch at Petersburg University was established. In 2018, she was separated from her life and her colleagues and colleagues have published the book éIn memoium Albina Griffinova. We are 54 authors”, he said.
The book dedicated to Albina Girfanova is a rich collection of materials from various parts of the world, until Novak singles out an article that will be published for the first time.
I think it will be well received by readers because the book has many articles. This book has collected materials from the Balkans, the Far East, Europe, from Israel. This book has been published for the first time in Saban Dimir's article on the activity of Yul Variboba, which is a great honor to us”, he points out.
The Russian Albanologist in the interview for Kosova Prees also talks about the importance of the International Theatre for Albanian Language, Literature and Culture.
I am so glad that I can participate in this year's Pristina Seminar. I come here to Pristina, Kosovo, Pristina University since 1990. It means he's been coming here for many years, and he always comes with a lot of desire because the seminar gives us the opportunity to meet with colleagues from around the world... This year of pandemic is very difficult to organise international seminars. Fewer seminarists came this year, but I think it's very good that Pristina University could organise this seminar, gather people from around the world. It's very positive”, he said.
How much Kosovo and its people like it, Novak says it best testifies to its regular arrival for the Albanian International Ministry for Language, Literature and Culture.
I come every year to Kosovo to attend the seminar. If I come every year to participate in the Pristina seminar, that means I love coming to Kosovo and I like the people of Kosovo, so I come here”, Novik said.
But he is disappointed with the fact that few talk in Russia about Kosovo, while he says that even in Kosovo there is a wrong perception of Russia.
There is little talk about Kosovo in Russia, and that is the problem. We need to do as much as we can not just improve Kosovo's image, but we have to write about Kosovo's image because there's too much knowledge in Russia. And, the Russian viewer's reader knows very little about Kosovo... Depends on man, there are people who read only official media and may only have knowledge of the war that has been here in the Balkans in the year 90. But there are people who read historical works and know more about the history of Kosovo”, the Russian albanologist said.
Alexander Novak has studied Albanian at the University of San Petersburg, while thus far has published about 14 books.
