Monopoly with auto tickets: Kosovo citizens will be costing up to 11m euros (Contrata)

The Ministry of Infrastructure, led by Lieburn Aliu and Hysen Durmish, has signed a five-year contract with a small company that will offer stickers for vehicles, and which the company has only three workers, only a thousand euros in capital, and also does not pay TVS. The Kosovo government is [...]

Kosovo's government has been led down the road to obtaining unregistered cars in Kosovo despite the dire situation with poverty, which is even more the cause of pandemic.

Many citizens have not had enough money to register their cars, but it will change since the car ID will be done immediately through “contagious”>.

Periscope has requested access to the Infrastructure Ministry contract signed with the company “Autto Control Kosova” and shows that the official purpose of this service is “the confirmation of technical control of the vehicles”.

Moreover, this contract will last for the period of five years, starting on September 1st of this year and ending on August 31st 2026.

What is this company?

The company, which will handle the delivery of sticky tickets, is called “Auto Control Kosova” and opened only three years ago [June 25, 2018] according to data in the Agency for Business Recording. [ ARBK.

What worries is that the capital of this company is only 1,000 euros.

The annual circulation of this company has been so small [less than 30 thousand a year] that it has been released from the payment of the High Value Tax. [ Footnote] TVS.

The ACK owners are seven. Sead Troshupa has 120 euros, Rrustem Pukaj has 400, Driton Qehaja 50, Egzon Pukaj 120, Hysni Pukaj 110, Ardit Berisha 80 and Tefik Gashi 120.

But the millions are coming.

Although their capital is very small, it is expected to change from this contract.

The extra 4 euro and 90 cents will pay each citizen on September 1st if he wants to register his car. If you don't, of course, it will stop immediately by the Kosovo Police who will see it with the naked eye that there are no sticky tickets.

Based on the number of cars registered in Kosovo for 2020, which was 370 thousand, this company will earn 1m 813 thousand euros in just one year. Multiply for five years as long as the contract lasts, the figure that this company will benefit becomes 9 million and 65 thousand.

But since the number of unregistered cars is about 200 thousand, it means the figures for Auto Control Kosovo company are expected to be actually even higher.

If only half of unregistered cars are forced to register because of the real inability to travel on the streets of Kosovo, it means 470 thousand cars will be registered annually.

Out of 470 thousand cars, only of the sticky tickets, this company will receive for five years. 11 million 515 thousand euros.

In short, this company will kick its culinary but also weighing the poverty of citizens even more heavily because of the pandemic.

The deal was signed by Hysen Durmish, Mr. Minister of Infrastructure. B. H/Periscope
