European Bars Agency (EMA) has recommended approval of vaccine against COVID-19 of the Moderna species to vaccinate children between the ages of 12 and 17.
So far, Pfizer vaccine/ B NTech has been the only option for vaccinating children in North America and Europe.
The US Bars Agency (FDA) is currently considering whether it will expand use of the Modern vaccine for children under the age of 18.
As the world's vaccine supply remains small, most of the world still has difficulty immunizing adults.
US and European regulators have called for caution as both vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) are linked to an extremely rare response in teenagers and young people, which is chest pain and heart inflammation.
