This meeting also marks the resumption of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. For the first time in the prime minister's quality, Kurti will have a face-to-face meeting with Serbian President Vuciq on the question of dialogue.
Kurti himself at the beginning of the mandate had said dialogue would not be his top priority.
In the country's largest opposition party, The PDK, they say Kurti has the letters on his desk on what's more proposed.
If Albin Kurti is more powerful than the two world powers he can stop dialogue, but the problem is that Kurt has the letters on the table what he's up to. Because it's making a politician's game that I did tomorrow, but I didn't do it the way they wanted to. The dialogue, however, needs to be done, the dialogue will mean talks with the parties. The good news is, in the middle of the dialogue are friendly countries and I believe that no one will force him to sign anything”, the deputy said. PDK, Xhavit Haliti for “Indexline”
Asked whether Kurt could conclude the only dialogue between the two countries, Haliti says Kosovo's Constitution has granted the right to the prime minister to lead with negotiations, and it is his problem whether he takes someone at meetings or does not consult someone or not.
“We are the parliamentary republic and all agreements must be approved in the Assembly, if something that is not in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo is established, then parliament makes it its own, not the prime minister, but also the president, and anyone who violates the”, Haliti stressed.
The former deputy head of the Parliament in several legislatures says that until now, apart from the declaration and the pride of this government, he has not seen any concrete action in terms of promises he has made in the campaign.
