The Social Democrat Party (PSD) organised a petition for citizens with the motto “Thanksgiving for Pandemia's Fines”. In two days the PSD has collected about 2,000 signatures. And this party, which is outside the assembly after the collection of 10,000 citizen signatures, will hand over to the assembly a bill for the forgiveness of 200 thousand fines [...]
While this party, which is outside the convent after the collection of 10,000 citizen signatures, will hand over to the assembly a bill for the pardon of 200 thousand fines of citizens and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Nol Nushi from the PSD told Kosova Prees that pardoning citizens' fines and companies benefits citizens. Niushi says the position should also vote on this bill after voting 11m euros for the Serb current in the country's north.
The 10,000-strong group of citizens can present legal initiative or bill, which they hand over to the Assembly, and it enters into regular procedures of the Parliament that are handled at the next session... ] The main focus is people, so physical persons, but we also put in them small and medium-sized enterprises that are classified with the laws of Kosovo, but the fines out of 200 thousand and more fines that are distributed 90% are to physical persons, if this law is passed in the Assembly that I believe and I hope benefits will be approved primarily by citizens”, he said.
In 2 days The PSD managed to collect around 2000 signatures, he says that when it arrives at the assembly it expects the vote of all MPs, and especially those of position, as it says the same voted 11m euros for the flow of Serbs to northern Mitrovica.
For formalization it takes 10,000 signatures, we have two working days so far, we've collected approximately 2,000 signatures plus minus that I don't know exactly because other lists have been submitted. We must first send to the Parliament and see the party's mood. I have not seen any deputies or party officials who have said this is the wrong initiative. I also think that when it comes to law they don't have the same vote, it's the same MPs who have voted 11m euros for the Serb flow in northern Kosovo. When you don't have vaccines, when you don't have economic assistance for citizens at least don't charge additional fines of”, he said.
Supporting the PSD initiative lies with citizens. They say fines should be pardoned, as even political parties previously organised gatherings.
Hamit Hoti said there should be no privileges for anyone, as political parties have not paid the sentences.
The citizens' sentences should be erased and not paid for because there is no privilege to anyone here. The virus is for all of us then when the gatherings were organised here if they paid the sentences they would also pay those who were sentenced to”, he said.
Ansar Halili says citizens should respect the measures, as well as the declared fines to be forgiven.
And we as a population need to be aware of a little bit more, don't bring my job up to this point because it's pandemic, even in the hotel, it's a big influence, I think I'm going to have to give you a pass to”, Halili said.
Kosovo police are continuing to fine citizens who are not respecting anti measures - COVID-19, in just 24 hours, Kosovo Police have fined 705 citizens who did not comply with measures imposed by health and state institutions.
