After many attempts at the Kosovo Assembly, the law for economic recovery was passed on December 4th last year.
However, this law does not appear to be being implemented overall by the country's institutions.
This, since one of the provisions of this law that was paid for three months to 300 euros for those who lost their jobs during the pandemic has not yet begun to implement.
And for that, from the Ministry of Finance, I am throwing my burden at the Ministry of Labour and Social Management and the Employment Agency.
T7 also sent questions to the latter about why the implementation of the tools has not begun, yet these from this ministry did not respond.
However, all this delay is considered unacceptable by the Independent Private Sector Union.
The chairman of this union, Yusuf Azemi, said that the money separated from the ministry covers only 10% of those who were left without jobs in the pandemic.
Azem even adds that during pandemic time some sectors have reduced labor wages even though they have not suffered loss.
And this assistance to the unemployed, as vital, is considering economists.
Jakup Bellaqa says that until now, some 55 thousand people have remained due to job-free pandemic.
Bellaqa adds that if such ones are not compensated and do not have a job, they may also encourage them to leave the country.
By contrast, the government of Kosovo has approved measures to implement the 2021 Economic Recovery Programme, worth 222.4m euros.
