Defence lawyers in the Gucati and Haradinaj case: The testimony of SPS investigator must be expelled

The prosecution's summary of witnesses' statements, Zdenka Pumper, has stated that the testimony of the SPS investigator should not be accepted because according to him, the production value is less than the damaging effect.

At the Hysni Gucatit trial hearing of Nasim Haradinaj at The Hague Specialised Chambers, prosecutor Valeria Bolic has re-exemplified the SPS's request for accepting some statements of the Pumper witness as material evidence.

And Judge Fergal. M. Gaynor has said the trial is public, so accepted material must be accessible to the public.

“The trial is a public trial, the accused have the right to have a public trial, and one aspect of the public court is that all the evidence accepted is accessible to the public, available to the public. So in terms of the editorials you propose, I want to remind you that these editings are absolutely kept at the minimum”, the judge said.

And after a summary of the statements by Witness Pumper, Gucat and Haradinaj defence lawyers have made their statements.

Gucati's lawyer, Jonathan Elystan Rees, has said the testimony of the SPS investigative co-ordinator, Zdenka Pumper, should not be accepted.

Former heads of the KLA War Veterans' Organisation, Haradinaj's Gucati are charged with criminal acts against justice administration, namely for obstructing official persons in carrying out official duties, fearing witnesses, revenge and violating the secret of the procedure.

In the organization they were running, there were several packages allegedly containing documents derived from the Special Prosecutor's Office. All of this they had made public through media conferences and other public presentations. / KP
