Foreign media suggest that within the operation conducted by authorities, 1.6 tonnes of drugs, the value of which is 80m euros, has been seized.
Besides drugs, police have seized ten firearms, including five Kalashnikovs, vehicles, horses and livestock, as well as encrypted mobile phones and luxury watches.
It turns out the police have fallen into the traffickers' trail thanks to message encrypted from Sky ECC.
About 580kg of cocaine were also seized, as well as more than 1.6 tonnes of drugs for an estimated value of the road of more than 80m euros”, reportedly reported by local authorities.
Authorities made the arrest and seizure of drugs in the province of Liège, in Huy, Aywaille, Modes-Strée, Ferreres, Verviers, Herve, Comblain-au-Pont and Amay, as well as in the provinces from Limburg, in Genk, and in the East Plain, in Thames.
Over 300 policemen participated in the operation.
The investigation into this case began three days ago. The file was taken to the federal prosecutor's office, which exposed criminal activities in the Liège region but was active in Limburg, Eastern Flag and abroad, especially in Holland and Spain. According to authorities about 15 tonnes of cocaine have passed from Belgium, thanks to the organisation.
