Pristina municipality aid for affected COVID-19, grants for businesses, agricultural aid and others will be issued to beneficiaries within 48 hours.
The state treasury has said it has accepted the request from the municipality of Pristina on Tuesday (day) and that it is immediately beginning to address and approaches will be offered once the process is complete.
The approach of budgetary organisations into the Treasury System is based on legislation and procedures in force. Each organisation that has completed and brought complete documentation to Thesar has been equipped with access to SIMFK and the 2021 budget has begun to be executed”, the Finance Ministry has said.
“However, there are still several organisations which are in the process of completing documentation and their approaches will be established once the first legal and technical procedures are completed. It's completely in the hands of budgetary organisations (OB) filling out documentation and legislation requirements in terms of access to system”.
The one of these organisations is the Pristina municipality, which yesterday has completed the system's access application (26.01.2021), along with the request for treatment and certificate of the Chief Financial Official (appointed yesterday, 26.01.2021)”.
That Treasury response comes after the Pristina chairman's statement, Shpend Ahmeti, who said this institution is still not reopened to carry out the payments.
“Pages (from state account to personal accounts) are executed by the Treasure of the Republic of Kosovo, following the handover of a request for each payment from the municipality. Under legislation in effect, the central level has closed the Treasury in late December to complete the financial year and has not yet reopened. As the Treasurer opens up and the tools are anchored for the Commissions under the Law in Power, the payments will continue for all beneficiaries”.
