Moliqaj reacts to political gatherings: Parties More Equal Than Citizens

The president of the Social Democratic Party of Kosovo, Dardan Molyqaj, has reacted sharply to law enforcement institutions for failing to respond to political party gatherings that are breaking the rules and law anti-Condivus-19. According to him, these are double standards, since citizens are punished if they don't respect protective cats until political parties organise activities [...]

Milliqaj's full response:
All are equal, but political parties are more equal than others
The government of the Republic of Kosovo and police as a law enforcement body are setting the worst example in respecting regulations for protection from the pandemic.
It's over 3 million worth of fines pronounced for citizens. Any social activity or business after 8:00 is closed. Anyone who didn't arrive at exactly 8:00 at home was fined. Citizens are equal before punishment. But there are some more equal citizens: political parties in time of campaign.
It's been two weeks since we've started gatherings where we see large gatherings in closed spaces, over and after hours. No fines, no remarks. We do not know that the Law on Pandemia has excluded them. We don't even know that they're not carriers or transmitters of the virus. In this regard, police behavior is extremely problematic. They owe the law, not the authorities. Parties and politicians are citizens like others, and the rules of pandemic apply equally to everyone. This self-sensor in law enforcement must stop.
This attitude does not require a ban on gatherings or other activities. What we're looking for is the same rules for everyone. If you need gatherings, let the masses change.
