Kosovo police, referring to the operational order prepared for last year's holidays and the beginning of the new year 2021, and based on reported cases, estimate that a largely quiet and unconventional holiday has passed.
The operational planning of the Kosovo Police has been aimed at, maintaining order, calming and public security in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo, which have been achieved through increased security measures, monitoring citizens and law enforcement.
Part of the plan has been the addition of police presence in polluting areas, road traffic and increased police presence and vigilance in open-air areas, in squares of various cities.
The New Year's Festival (2020/2021) has largely gone smoothly, with fewer incidents than last year, ruled out several incidents reported in the Kosovo Police and medical centres, which have been bodily injuries, injuries as a result of the inadequate use of pyrotechnic means, fire incidents and property damage.
As far as road traffic safety is concerned, fortunately no fatal accidents have been recorded except for those with material damage and injuries.
Kosovo police, congratulating all citizens in the new 2021 year, will simultaneously continue through bilateral co-operation, towards maintaining order, public security and crime prevention./
