Today, in Ulcinj, the ceremony for the inauguration of the memorial of the earthquake victims in Ulcinj in 1979, under the auspices of the municipality of Ulcinj.
Ilir Kapun, chairman of the Ulcinj municipality assembly, has stressed that this is a gesture to fellow citizens who fell victims of the natural quatroding, and in this case, has stressed that Kosovo's assistance was the first to reach Ulcinni ectwright.
Mayor Loro Nodeqi stressed that they also co-operate with earthquake victims in neighbouring Albania and Croatia.
Kosovo Ambassador Ylber Hysa and Croatia's Veselko Grubjesic were inaugurated before the citizens of Ulcinj and family members who have suffered during the earthquake.
Ambassador Hysa emphasises that Kosovo will always stay near Ulcinj, as it did in 1979 even now. Then an identity moment of the heritage had mostly been attributed to Ulcinj's fortress -- as if even now to the flood and with this case, the Kosovo government, as before, reacted with a symbolic help: a donation of 10,000 euros for the sancing of the damage to the walls of the kaal, which is a city symbol.
Kosovo will stay near Ulcinj not only during the difficult days- said Ambassador Hysa.
The Croatian ambassador was grateful for the solidification with his country after the earthquake.
The memorial is both the idea and the work of the domestic artists, Mentor Llunji, Sami Flag and Muhid Muharremovic, worked by local stone symbolising the reborn.
