Signing in white letters is not enough, significant is implementing the agreement between the two states that are continuing negotiations on improving reports.
Despite speculation that US elections could influence the implementation of this agreement, the Trump administration told the news.net that it will work hard to implement this agreement.
Economics expert in Kosovo Safet Gerdeliou commenting on the news situation.net says, of course, that not only the signing is enough, but implementation is needed.
He believes that America's path towards supporting the Western Balkans has been and will be without regard for election epilogue.
The “is more true that September 4th has an uncontained significance for Kosovo, but also for the Western Balkans. It must be understood that it is better to dialogue than to be fought and that agreement should not only be signed but also be implemented. I believe this is of particular importance to Kosovo, because it has happened at the moment when the dominoist daily policy -- and in this direction, such an event of both economic and political, geostrategic, social and integration -- should truly applaud”, Grojliu said.
The economy expert says that for implementation of this agreement, there have to be a willingness even from local institutions, as according to him, there have been cases when Kosovo institutions producing daily agendas and protecting only the interests of political and non-state parties can fail in implementation.
However, not only is the signing problem, we need to have readiness for implementation, in this direction it has occurred that Kosovo institutions producing daily agendas and protecting only the interests of political parties and not the state will fail in implementation. We don't have to figure out what will happen after the elections in America, will he win Trump or who will win? We have to do our homework and absorb as much of this deal as possible. But I'm convinced that America's path towards supporting the Western Balkans has been and will be, no matter what the election epilogue, the American interest will still be with us, us and us. Therefore, we should not hesitate to do so, but we should be reluctant why we don't work for the state and why we don't have concrete projects that should be implemented using the willingness and will of the American people through President and other relevant institutions”, Gerjaliu said.
But the agreements reached have opposed former Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who has pledged that these agreements will not be implemented with his coming to the head of the Kosovo government, because according to him, the agreements violate the Kosovo Constitution.
He had complained that former German Ambassador Richard Greenell, who has brokered the agreements signed in Washington, had a role in the collapse of his government.
We also remember that the US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party, Joe Biden, has been reserved in comments on the agreements that have been reached at the White House.
He has indicated that Kosovo should be treated as an independent state, not as part of Serbia. Democrat candidate Joe Biden and his rival from the Republican Party, Donald Tump, will face each other at one point that is also the course of American foreign policy.
The elections in America will be held in November this year.
