Thaci recalls Qerim Kelmendi, shows he has proclaimed Kosovo Hero

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has commemorated Qerim Kelmendi, one of the earliest activists of the national issue and among the first soldiers of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Thaci in a Facebook post wrote that Kelmendi was a participant in many military shares and was among the first injured in the KLA uniform.

President Thaci has declared Qerim Kelmendit Hero of Kosovo,

The entire Kelmendi family has made a big contribution to organising the KLA and to our struggle for freedom. For the great contribution of the Great Ghost, as we called Qerim Kelmendi in the war, I have declared him the hero of Kosovo”, Thaci wrote.

Cerim Kelmendi was found dead in February this year within a burning car in Zahaq, Pec.

President Thaci had declared that this insidious murder was shocking and has called on urgently that this murder be cleared up soon.
