The country's president, Hashim Thaci, has remembered today his first-hour doctor Army Liberation of Kosovo, Hafir Shala, who was kidnapped 22 years ago by Serbian security structures.
President Thaci has said that with public appearance KLA, Dr. Ahfir Shala courageously was in charge of citizenship and homeland responsibility, near freedom fighters, healing and encouraging them.

The first-hour doctor on it Army Liberation of Kosovo, HAFIR SHALA has been missing for 22 years. The entire intellectual capacity and humanitarian spirit, Dr. Zafir Shala put him in the service of the people, as a doctor, in the period when Kosovo's health left the institutions. With the public appearance of KLA, Dr. Ahfir Shala courageously was in charge of citizenship and homeland responsibility, near freedom fighters, healing and encouraging them. At the head of his professional and patriotic mission, Dr. Zafir Shala was kidnapped by Serbian security facilities in April 1998, on the way to secure drugs necessary for wounded soldiers. Unfortunately, it is not yet known about the fate of the doctor, former political prisoners of the past eightyth century. Dr. Hfir Shala is a deep wound to his family and our society, as is the absence of many missing persons from the Serbian secret service and other segments of the Serbian police and military. Kosovo's freedom and independence lies on the blood of many martyrs, martyrs and citizens.
