The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kosovo has handed over to the Ministry of Labour and Social Management (MPMS) coupons that will be distributed to 2 thousand households who are the beneficiary of the Social Assistance Centre, reports Online Economics. Minister of Labour and Social Management (MMPS) Skender Recica accepted this donation and thanked U n NDP for continued assistance. “Today we are here in acceptance of UNDP support.
It's about supporting households with social assistance, and under these circumstances they need back-up”. He said families with social assistance with these coupons that would be able to buy toilet and food items“Families with one and more members benefit a 60-euro coupon. Families of 5 members 79 euros and families with 8 members 8o euros per month”. He has later shown which families benefit from this donation, while there are Saturdays that there are over 25 thousand families with social assistance in Kosovo, reports EO.
Various “are single-parent families, those who have disabled persons, have residential problems and are part of rural countries, and also families with serious economic conditions”. Recica stressed that they will try to distribute 2,000 vouchers where the biggest need of families is. Shkepe Deda-Gourgeal, by UNDP, thanked the MMPS for co-operation, so he said this donation has been made thanks to a partnership with Luxembourg Government. “Starting with 2000 families, and from October we hope to have a bigger project”.
