The Commission for Legissation, Mandate, Imunite, Framework and Supervision of the Anti-Corruption Agency has today held the next meeting electronically.
This majority vote meeting has approved the amendment to Bill No. 07/L-014 for completing and changing Law No. 07/ L-001 on budgetary divisions for the Kosovo Republic budget for 2020.
At other points, the commission has decided to request an opinion from the Parliament's Legal Office concerning the election of a member of the Kosovo Judiciary Council from among other communities, as defined by Article 108, paragraph 6, subparography 4 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
At this meeting, the members of this commission have agreed to resexalt the contest for members of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council from the ranks of civil society. In contrast, they have returned after the Kosovo Bar Council's proposals for members of the Prosecutorial Council, recommending that the proposals be in line with the opinion of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
Meanwhile, proposals from the law faculties for members of the Prosecutorial Council have been supported, as well as recommended for voting in one of the next sessions, Prof. Dr. Azem Hajdari from Pristina University “Hasan Pristina” and Prof.Asoc. Dr. Agron Beka from Gjilan University “Kadri Zeka”
The members of this commission, after reviewing the Sadik Rescue Paper, have accepted his resignation from the commission's member for verification and property deployment, as the same being a lawyer falls into conflict with interest, as also in the opinion of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
