No police hours on Bajram Day in Kosovo

The Health Ministry has declared there will be no additional police hours in Kosovo on the occasion of the Great Bajram holiday. According to the UN, actual measures of the second phase will continue to remain in force.

The second phase of easing measures for Kosovo citizens who entered into force on May 18th will continue tomorrow, when Muslim believers celebrate the Great Bajram holiday, and according to the Ministry of Health there will be no additional police hours. The Great Bajram Festival is a festive day and adulation in other measures besides those in power and worthy of all is not fair. Kosovo's Ministry of Health and the Islamic Community throughout the sacred month of Ramadan have maintained continued contacts in order to spend this month on dedication to preserving each other's health and implementing recommendations by the National Public Health Institute concerning the period of the Individual-19. Believers have proven their dedication throughout the month to apply these recommendations more correctly, and the MS believes that such a way of displaying confidence will also be shown during the festival of the Great Bajram, for which believers have also been instructed by the Islamic Community of Kosovo to manifest respect and care by avoiding situations that expose citizens to a danger such as it is, says in a response to the MSHCH.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Community of Kosovo has made the decision not to organise the Fiter-Bajram Prayer at local mosques or other public spaces.

BIK's decision says there will be no reception at the headquarters of this religious institution, nor at local council headquarters.

Northern Macedonia has decided that there will be police hours by Tuesday. The curfew will be worth between 11:00 and Sunday till Tuesday at 05 a.m.

According to data from the National Institute of Public Health in Kosovo from 8 February to 22 May, 12 thousand and 818 suspicious people with coronarys have been tested.
