President Thaci decrees Avdullah Hoti for prime minister

The country's President Hashim Thaci has declared at the media conference that he has decreed the LDK nominated, Mr. Avdullah Hoti for prime minister of the country.

This is against differences by the Vetevendosje Movement and increased tensions in public debates, Periscopi notes.

““In this whole unnatural situation, the legitimacy of the current government has been challenged by the motion vote by more than two-thirds of MPs. On the other hand, it's my duty as president to make sure that the institutions are functioning. The motion has been fully under the Constitution, in agreement with the will of MPs and democratic order in Kosovo. Despite the circumstances, these are clearly regulated by the constitution, and cannot be considered extraordinary sites. Dear citizens as you are informed of the consultation I conducted with all the representatives and leaders of the political parties. All these parties estimate that Kosovo should leave new government, except for a political party. Following the letters I sent to the LDK chairman today, I received a letter from LDK chairman Isa Mustafa through whom he confirms that he supports the prevailing criteria for the new government, including ensuring the parliamentary majority, which actually witnessed to me. Asking with this letter informs me that I have just decreed Mr. Avdullah Hoti as nominated for Kosovo Prime Minister”, President Thaci said. in a media conference/Periscopi
