The Institute for Security, Integration and De-radicalisation (INSID) has held the virtual forum regarding the challenges of Syrian returnees imprisoned for terrorism and threats from violent extremist radicalism.

The incumbent Deputy Prime Minister, Haki Abazi, said Kosovo has faced extremism. And for that, Abazi said the government would take concrete steps to influence the reintegration of returnees from war grounds to society.

Kosovo is facing this phenomenon of extremism of events in Syria. Kosovo has taken some steps with its strategy. Law passed in the Assembly, sanctioning these. Many of the warriors have been victims of trauma. The government has to lock on phenomena to influence radicalism and more reintegration to society”, he said.

U.S. Ambassador Philip Costnett stressed that most of the people who have taken their way to the war hearths have for a better life. In this direction, he said the level of corruption has also affected.

Kossnet stressed that the US has had similar experiences with other states.

“INSID is trying to fight extremism because of the work of Arber Vokrrit. We have had experience with other countries as far as extremism”.

“Many have gone for living standards, economic development which has affected these, but other corruption of reasons which have taken this path”, said Costet.

Nexhat Behluli, Syria's returnees, said that after the return, it is committed not to allowing the movement of other citizens.

He said except for the organization INSID has so far had no support from the state.

Now we're in an INSID organization where we want to help people not go there and rehabilitate them. The State has left us a little behind. We're left as a mist we don't know how to start”.

The “politicians say we are supervised. We are to fight extremism but there is no one to support it. People threaten us, and we're nowhere to be left with”, Behluli said.

This international forum, organised by INSID, is being held in Pristina in addition to discussions launched the International Group for Intervention with European and Kosovo speakers and participants through online conference.
