The president of the Year says the situation is heavy there, requiring government assistance for food and medicine

The year is the first municipality to be affected by the COVID-19 Pandemia. A 77-year-old resident from the village of Stubble, who came from Italy, was the first to touch this virus and through which other family members were infected, the number that has reached 7, which also makes the year the most immediately affected municipality.

The Chairman of the Year's Community, Sokol Haliti, among other things, indicated that, the number of people affected with the COVID-19 actually stands at 7 and that for preventing this virus, he said they have taken all necessary measures, isolating the entire country.

Haliti said that the mood of the affected is stable and that 2 patients were released from the hospital last night.

The “came from Italy, 77 years old from a village in our municipality, which has later proved to have infected family members, now we have 7 in number, but the situation is quiet, we've isolated the premises there, we've personally isolated the family, it's positive that last night's son and his husband who's been with the coronary... Mobilisation has become your marginal in the year, of all institutions, health components, emergency committee, public service directorate, inspection and respect for the government's rules and decisions, but also of making other specific measures that we have in the context of the municipality as the first affected municipality and as the most immediately affected municipality of patients we have, so this has mobilized us beyond institutions, but not only the citizens, but also”, Hali said.

Haliti through Kosovo Preress, addressed institutions for supplies with protective measures and for food products.

“I had appealed to central institutions to take quick measures to supply protective equipment, especially with protective clothes, masks, disinfectants and gloves. I had also told institutions not only the MS, which is about food products, since only the year is that a month in quarantine will help us because it's only starting to panic, except that social component is unfuelled and we need food”, Haliti said.

Despite this situation, residents of the Year moved without masks and gloves.

The citizen, Shycheri Jonuzi, expressed conviction that the coronavirus is like all other flues and that he is a little cared for.

And we've got us in front of them, there's cholera, bird flu, horse flu, we've had some kind of disease. But now we're aware of how to keep it safe, panic not to go through it all, this is a virus like the flu and this, just be careful and don't make me big, not so if they all get through the”, Jonuz said.

And the other citizen, Adnan Ahmeti, says the measures the Committee of the Year has taken are not being respected enough, so this may increase the number of affected.

The Panic was also afraid yes, should be preserved, passed this season... I've had work as fast as I can do most of the work I do... ... we've taken them but they're not really respecting them, and that could be a reason to make it more”, Ahmeti says.

By contrast, citizens in this municipality have rarely seen exits to the city, while with <x0-vent stores, others have been closed, respecting the Kosovo Government's decision.
