Minister of Internal Affairs and Public Administration [ MPBAP], Agim Veliu, has held today a co-ordination meeting with Kosovo Police Director-General Rashit Qaljan to undertake all actions that have emerged following the Kosovo government's decision, for the preventive measures of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
Veliu says he has asked the Kosovo Police to take all actions under this decision, and has in particular called for all schools operating in northern Kosovo and working with plans of Serbia to close under the Kosovo Government decision.
According to the MPB, at this “meeting it has been found that all the right actions have already been done and that all those schools are closed and will continue to remain closed, until the next decision of the Kosovo Government”.
“Vecliu has put into place all security mechanisms operating under the responsibilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, so that they will be fully ready for any need in managing the pandemic that has included many countries in the world. Veliu calls on Kosovo citizens to be cautious, to remain calm, and to follow carefully all the instructions coming out of the country's institutions, because only thus will we all together overcome this” situation, the report says.
But the opposite was reported a little earlier The KP, which has been to see the situation in the north.
In the four majority Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo, according to them, the learning process has continued normally Thursday.
Even the education process in the schools of the Gracanica municipality, which works with a parallel system -- Serbia's -- has continued today when the Kosovo Government's decision to cut by 27 March -- as a safeguard against the coronary, the KOHA reports.
Likewise, the education process continued in the four Serb municipalities in the country's north, where it is also worked with parallel system. But unlike northern municipalities, Gracanica has been warned to interrupt the learning process.
The commander of the police station in Gracanica, Bratislav Trajkovovic, has told of “Rtv Kim” that the Kosovo government's decision should be implemented. He says he has also announced the Education Director in the municipality of Gracanica, Srdjan Popovic.
Serbia has refused to close schools as a safeguard against corruption, saying it is “speedy step” and, therefore, Serbian-language schools in Kosovo are carrying out this order.
According to him, the decision will also be applied to restaurant and cafe schedules. By Government's decision, after 11:00 p.m., they must be closed.
