After the heavy blows we received, it was extremely difficult to write about developments these days. But pride inspired the group of Saviors on the road to freedom is stronger than anything else.
On the day he travelled to The Hague, after greeting the family, President Wessel came to the PDK offices to greet us. He smiled, as always, gave us courage. He was stubborn and determined, as when as a young man left his studies to take up arms against Serbia and Milosevic's genocide regime.
A lifetime of clear intentions, high ideals, full of meaning. A difficult but necessary journey for him to fulfill the amateurs of thousands of Albanians killed for freedom.
Kadri Wessel was a young man when the war began, but the dream of freedom was centuries old. This century-old dream empowered Hashim Thaci and many other friends to establish the most successful military force in Kosovo's history ?
All who have had the destiny to co-operate and support Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselin in their political journey, in declaring independence, in strengthening the state and creating the military, today we feel proud and strong in the face of this battle. Proud that KLA leaders lived through the martyrs' trust for freedom and independence.
Today, 20 years after the war, our freedom boys are returning to defend the Kosovo people's fair liberation war once again. This tells of the great challenges we have as a country and a nation. Attempting to tarnish Kosovo's magnificent and historic project of liberation is trying to tarnish our collective suffering as Albanians. Can Isa Boletini and Hasan Pristina be suggested in a trial that judges their freedom efforts?
Freedom and state we have won thanks to the resistance of the people and the Kosovo Liberation Army war. But, sadly, the battle for our country and history is not yet over. It is up to all of us in this new battle to protect history and strengthen our future. Kadri Veselini, Hashim Thaci, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and Sali Mustafa will proudly reconfirm that their struggle for freedom was fair. The people of Kosovo will proudly show that freedom has a name and that the KLA is its name.
