Justice Minister Selim Selim Selimi said that through this meeting, he sends a message that the Kosovo Liberation Army war is clean.
We are gathered today to send a message that the essence of The UCPMB is the KLA war, and because of this we are gathered here to show that we believe in justice and believe in the purity of the KLA war and all those KLA fighters who face justice are not only because they have UCMPMB, behind them, in protecting the purity and KLA values and in faith in justice”, Selimi said.
On behalf of the Liberation Army for Presevo fighters Medvedja and Bujanoc, Shacir Shaqiri said that as freedom fighters are disappointed with the establishment of this court, which, according to him, cannot be fair.
He said they are backed by former KLA leaders who are being accused and strongly believe they will turn white.
“We have fought absolutely pure war and the only purpose we as a people have had to be free and united as other peoples. The processes that came later for us were a surprise. The next is not pleasant, but as freedom fighters we've always been faced with all the challenges that come our way. And these processes which are now allegedly set up to investigate, testify or to that the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army has been clean we've supported, but I mean how freedom fighters we are disappointed because a court that stands on rumors cannot be fair court, and may be a separatist court that judges a party. We believe that international justice remains the powerful justice and that Kosovo Liberation Army fighters who have been arrested for the past few days will come to life because their work and war have been fair and clean. We believe that justice will prevail we believe international justice will not be committed and that it will be a just justice“, Shaqiri said.
Last week, the Special Court has filed charges for former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders. Former President Hashim Thaci, former Prime Minister Jakup Krasniqi, former head of the government The PDK, Kadri Veselini, and LVV parliamentary group chief Rexhep Selimi left for The Hague on November 4th and 5th after confirming the indictment on October 26, 2020. In addition to going to The Hague, several-hour raids on different Kosovo locations followed, including homes of the same.
