European Parliament rapporteur for Serbia Vladimir Bilcik has welcomed the fact that the European Union remains a strategic goal for Serbia, as well as continued co-ordination of regulations according to European standards.
However, rapporteur Bilcik stressed that the pace of European integration primarily depends on the rule of law and respect of fundamental rights, but the normalisation of relations with Kosovo is the key condition.
“I call for active and constructive engagement in the dialogue in which the EU mediates and leads the special representative, with the aim of a comprehensive and bonding document that will be in line with international law, and I call for full implementation of the agreements reached so far” the European rapporteur Bilcik stressed.
Bilcik emphasised importance of O report SBE/ The ODIHR for elections in Serbia, namely the fact that the election process was efficient, but added that it is disturbing to dominate the ruling parties, especially in the media. He invited the power to apply recommendations highlighted in the O report The EU before the next election cycle.
