In this case, she has spoken of immigration of Kosovo citizens abroad.
While in Albania we had Enver Hoxha's dictatorial regime, while in Kosovo we had Slobodan Milosevic's. Anyone who dared to speak openly or go against this regime was sentenced to torture, imprisonment, or death. There was also the crisis for existence, the high degree of poverty, which moved Kosovars to seek a better life. Even after the democratisation of our countries, discontent has continued the same, there is a lack of economic development, we have a high number of citizens leaving our countries”, she said.
As for the country's leaders, whether they're concerned about this problem, she said a part might be worried, but unfortunately we're not seeing this concern, or we haven't seen it yet.
The pandemic from COVID has drawn attention not only from our governments but from all around the world. We must prevent our citizens from leaving with concrete plans. They need to analyze all driving factors. It takes functional and long-term solutions to become the function of our states and citizens. It is the last moment for concrete decisions“, she said.
