Poland has started to turn Warsaw's Norodowy Stadium into the country's first field hospital for patients with COVID-19.
The Polish government has already started working to make this change.
The first “works began on Saturday”, the government announced in a Twitter post Monday.
The hospital will be located at stadium conference halls and will have an initial capacity of 500 coronary patients.
According to the government, the capacity could expand to a maximum of 1,000 beds.
Poland reported on Friday 132 victims from COVID-19, the highest daily figure since the beginning of the pandemic.
The country records 175,766 cases and 3,573 total deaths, according to figures by Johns Hopkins University.
