After 25 years of research, Remzi Hodge's family has decided to discontinue the search for missing businessman. His son, Ardian Hoxha, said that on the next anniversary he will make his father an open grave and a memorial where they will be able to visit him and place flowers.
We've gathered for our father's 25th anniversary of his disappearance, Remzi Hoxha. We've gathered as the first point to commemorate it on a painful day and share with you the thoughts we have of how we will continue with the future. A quarter that we have lost our father, brother, husband, family, we have come to a point that we have lost hope, we have lost confidence in the institutions of justice, in the political class in Albania, all political parties indiscriminately, we have come to a point that we have to cut down on things that are painful for us as family, and to move away from”, he said.
Ardian claimed that over the years they have tried to lead us to different causes for Remzi's disappearance, but according to him, the truth is one.
The truth is only one, after 17 years of effort, psychic abuse, wandering at the offices of all institutions, it has taken 17 years for the Albanian Criminal Court to prove that the leaders of this crime were nine SHIK persons, under the orders of Sali Berisha”, he added at a news conference.
On the next anniversary, he said he would open a tomb of Remzi Hodge and a memorial.
“25 years without grave, no bones, no suffering. We want Dad to make an open grave, a memorial, where they can go visit”, he said.
He said that from now on they will deal with the dawning of Remzi Hoxha's activity, which he said would be prepared as a documentary.
Businessman Remzi Hoxha on 21 October 1995 had been kidnapped at his workplace in Albania, and his disappearance represents one of the most mysterious events in the years of Albanian state democracy.
