Albania's ambassador to Kosovo, Kemal Minxhozi, has said Kosovo should create more facilities for citizens' residence permits from Albania.
Minxhozi has presented the need for market strengthening between Albania and Kosovo, creating all space that there is no barrier to the development of exchanges between us.
According to him, Albania's citizens have difficulty obtaining residence permits in Kosovo, while doing business in Albania are already more relaxed.
Albania's Ambassador to Kosovo Kemal Minxhozi points out that in the year we left Albania and Kosovo have exchanged 15 per cent more than in 2018 and have avoided some customs barriers, but still there are obstacles.
Although political relations recently are not satisfactory, apart from the Balkan Mini-Shengen initiative, however, regarding trade relations between Albania and Kosovo has growth trends.
Albania's Ambassador to Kosovo, Kemal Minxhozi, says it belongs to the future government to set the priorities of regional and international development for Mini-Sengen, while declaring that both governments must primarily strengthen the market between Albania and Kosovo.
Minxhozi is aware of the positions of Kosovo and Albania about the Mini-Sengen initiative, under which there are often verbal conflicts.
Something that is not pleasing to the Albanian diplomat here in Kosovo are difficulties in obtaining residence permits from Albania. Minxhozi is demanding more special treatment for citizens and businessmen for residence permits.

According to the ambassador, just as there are Kosovo businesses complaining that there is no favourable climate for doing business in Albania, Albania's businesses are complaining about the conditions of doing business in Kosovo.
Also, Minxhozi states in an interview for Kosova Prees, that some customs barriers have been avoided, but still some of them are obstacles to businesses, such as sanitation certificates and the high price of cargo scanners at the border.
Minxhozi has expressed gratitude for the humanity and solidarity of Kosovars shown in the tragedy posed by the earthquake that struck Albania in November.
This year, Kosovo has imported goods from Albania worth over 250m euros, while exporting around 70m euros.
