The American Congressman married her brother: The FBI is handling the case.

Two FBI agents have held a several-hour meeting in Minnesota, in mid-October because a third party had submitted documents for the 2009 marriage to Congressman Ilhan Omar with Ahmet Nur Said Elmin, a source of recognition for the event in question.

At the meeting, first reported by The Blaze, the agents discussed concerns that the Democrat married to Elm, a British citizen who is said to be her brother who wanted to adopt the American passport and study in America, writes NYpos, translate Periscope.

The two agents said they would share information they had with the Order and Migration Forces and the US Education Department, but had not yet opened the investigation.

If Omar married her brother, it would mean that she would be found guilty of marriage fraud a crime punishable by prison for up to five years or with fines of up to 250 thousand dollars.

All three government agencies said they could not confirm the existence that the investigation is continuing.

Congressman Omar's office did not respond to the request to comment on such claims as it had earlier called “disgusting lies. ”/Periscope
