The American diver and adventurer, Victor Vescovo, has become the world's first person to enter the deepest points in all the oceans on the planet.
Its fifth and last dive took place at the deepest point of the Arctic Arctic Ocean, called “Moloy's vision”, located some 5,5 km deep in the sea.
This success came after diving into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, and the South Ocean. The American millionaire's team also visited the sinking Titanic ship.
The deepest point in the Arctic Ocean is some 255 miles [275 km] west of the “Archipelagu Svalbard”, which is part of Norway's territory.
The depth registered there was 550m, with the possibility of error measuring plus/minutes 14m. This is the first time a man has ever gone to this underwater location.
The millionaire diver said: “These things must be done. I belong to philosophy that says that we are located not only to survive or to feel comfortable but also to contribute in some way. The path I chose is an adventure and I think this is something that can lead us forward as a “species, writes “BBC”, Transmission Express.
