Marko Djuric has cited Serbia's demands to return to dialogue with Kosovo.
“Pristina wants times when it needs to fulfil obligations”, said the director of the so-called office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Marko Djuric.
He has said that Kosovo only has recognition from Serbia in mind, but that there will be nothing.
“There will be no easy solution to the Kosovo issue. This will not hold us back and support from Serbs in Kosovo will be even more powerful”, Djuric told the Serbian daily “Vecernje Novosti”, broadcast the news.net.
He added he expects the new EU leader for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, as successor to Federica Mogherin, to maintain neutral status and return credibility to dialogue, according to him threatened by Kosovo side actions.
“By investing in dialogue, we have wanted Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo to be able to live normally. But Albanian separatists have been hoping in their form slowly to declare unilateral independence. Today, they are nervous because international support for the Kosovo independence project has fluctuated”, he added.
Djuric has ordered Kosovo state officials to lift the tax on Serbian goods and to be returned to dialogue because, as he says, their “votters cannot believe in big fantasies, but deserve to live in normal society”.
We can talk about this”, he said.
