Sami Lushtaku calls it a political indictment for escape from KKUK

The accused in the case of Sami Lushtaku's escape from QKUK have again been declared innocent at Wednesday's session at the Foundation Court in Pristina. In this case, except for Sami Lushtaku, his son, Mergim Lushtaku, and Emrush Thaqi, Shemsi Hajriz, Sami Gjota, Nejip Shatri, Ismail Dibrani, Agim Ukaj, Ismet Haja, Rrustem [...]
According to the indictment, the escape of former Skywright Mayor from CKUK occurred in May 2014, while Lushtak was receiving medical treatment, at the time he was in custody in the “Drenica” case.
And, Squirew's former leader, Sami Lushtaku, has said this case is political.
I'm sorry that the prosecutor of the case is present, for the media. This trial makes no sense, that is EULEX persecution. It's pointless that my wife, son, son, son, son, son, I've only had children left with you here. I'm willing to face everything, but these people will be released. This is a political process”, Lushtaku has declared.
Except for accused Lushtaku, at Wednesday's session the accused Ismail Dibrani has also reacted, who has said that the outcome of this judicial process would be a problem because of the large number of indictees.
He has also called this act political and illegal.
However, the chairman of the court, Judge Shashivar Hoti, has said that frequent hearings will be held in this case so that the trial will be concluded in a short period of time.
But then, because of the prosecutor's absence, Florie Shamlli, has been interrupted.
This session was scheduled to be held Wednesday, after more than a year since the first and second court had confirmed the indictment in this case.
But the continuation of the trial has failed because the court has interrupted the hearing, since the prosecutor, Floria Shamlli, had not attended, but was replaced by prosecutor Habibe Salihi.
But after the hearing is over, the next one is scheduled to be held on September 24, 2019.
The Constitutional Court in Pristina, on April 5, 2018, had rejected the defence requirements for dropping the indictment and rejecting evidence, arguing that it had proved that there was no predestination of criminal acts and that the defence has not presented sufficient evidence to approve them.
While, the Court of Appeals, in July 2018, had refused to base defence complaints about dropping charges and rejecting evidence and having put the Constitutional Court in Pristina into effect.
The former head of Skywright, Sami Lushtaku, is charged with several criminal acts “exasperation of the person deprived of freedom”, “obstructing official testimony or procedure, as well as intimidation during official procedure” and “for participation in organised criminal group”.
